How we built a 3D portfolio website for a bridal makeup studio

The client

Elegance by Dolly is a bridal and party makeup studio in NIT Faridabad, working since 2014, with a 4.9★ rating from 335 Google reviews. Brides choose a makeup artist on trust and on the quality of past work, so the website had to feel as premium as the work itself — and make booking a date effortless.

Why a 3D portfolio

Most makeup artists show their work in a long grid of photos. It works, but every studio looks the same. We built a drag-to-spin 3D gallery instead: brides spin through real bridal, party and hair looks and tap any one to see it up close.

It does two jobs. It makes the first impression memorable, and it keeps visitors exploring the work for longer — which is exactly what a bride does before deciding who to trust with her wedding day.

Design that matches the brand

The site uses a dark background with gold accents and elegant serif typography, so the photos stand out and the whole experience feels luxurious. Behind-the-scenes reels and the studio's Google rating sit on the page as proof.

Turning visits into bookings

A beautiful site only matters if it brings bookings, so we kept the path short:

  • ✦A four-step booking form: occasion, date & place, details and contact
  • ✦A floating WhatsApp button on every screen for instant questions
  • ✦An FAQ covering trials, products, venue travel and payments

Built to be found

The site is built in Next.js with Framer Motion for the animations, so pages are pre-rendered and quick to load. We added local SEO for bridal makeup searches in Faridabad, so the site can appear when brides search nearby — not only when they already know the studio's name.

What other local businesses can take from it

If your work is visual, show it in a way competitors don't. Pair that with a booking path that takes under a minute and WhatsApp within reach, and your website stops being a brochure and starts bringing enquiries.

(01)FAQ

Quick answers.

Would a 3D portfolio work for other businesses?+

Yes, wherever the work itself is what customers buy — salons, photographers, interior designers, jewellers, architects. For businesses where people mainly need prices and timings, a fast simple gallery is usually better.

Does the 3D gallery slow the site down on phones?+

It's designed not to. Images are optimised, the gallery loads as you reach it and the rest of the page appears first, so phones stay smooth.
