Delivery platform & rider app

Phone Club Logistics

Phone Club Logistics runs every delivery, pickup and exchange for Phone Club and Phone Club Sell — and is built so other businesses can plug in as vendors. Dispatchers plan the day in a web portal, riders work their visits in the Phone Club Rider app, and customers can follow their rider live.

Phone Club Logistics — Dispatch room sign-in

(01)The challenge

Jobs were coming from two businesses with cash moving both ways: collecting Cash on Delivery from buyers and paying sellers for their old phones. Every handover needed proof, outside vendors needed their own access, and riders often work with patchy mobile signal.

(02)The solution

A logistics API with its own database inside the Phone Club backend, a dispatch board for Phone Club staff and vendors, and an offline-friendly rider app. Every job is closed with the customer's code, and cash collected or paid out is recorded against the job.

(03)Features

What it does.

01

Vendor API & webhooks

Businesses create jobs with an API key and receive status updates by webhook; repeated requests are safely ignored.

02

Dispatch board

Jobs by date and zone, assigned to riders, with zones defined by PIN codes and hubs.

03

Phone Club Rider app

OTP sign-in, the day's visits in slot order, one-tap call and navigation, and a status for every step.

04

Works without signal

Accept, on my way and arrived are saved offline and sent in order when the signal returns.

05

Proof of handover

The customer's code, photos and cash are recorded before a job can be finished.

06

Roles & permissions

Phone Club staff, vendor teams and riders each see only what they're allowed to.

A closer look.

(05)Process

How it came together.

01

Discover

Understanding the goal: jobs were coming from two businesses with cash moving both ways: collecting cash on delivery from buyers and paying sellers for their old phones.

02

Design

Structure, key screens and the look agreed before any code was written.

03

Build

Developed with Node.js, Express, MongoDB — fast, responsive and maintainable.

04

Launch

Tested on real phones and desktops, then deployed to production.

05

Improve

Fixes, refinements and new features based on how people actually use it.
